牛油发糕 Butter Steamed Cake(Huat Kuih)


This kind of steamed cake is very famous among chinese people.
We also call this Huat Kuih. Why is it got such name? OK.  
When we see this kind of steamed cake the top of this cake burst like a flower.
And this give a good sign where the prosperity is good.
 This kuih mostly use to praying our ancestry or god,

hope them will bring more and more prosperity to us.


When i saw Annatay 小雨伞 making this cake and i realized that was a long time a didn't eat this.
So this afternoon i am going to try her version of this butter steamed cake.
You have to use a better butter for the better fragrant of this cake.

This is very soft and moist, unlike some are quite dry.
When it is still hot a try eat and i like it.
When it is cool down i try again the texture was good also.
And i found that eating cool with get more flavor then hot. 

材料 :Ingredients :

自发粉          250 克                      Self-raising flour     250 g
发粉          1 茶匙                          Baking powder     1 tsp
糖          100 克                              Sugar     100 g
滚水          250 克                          Hot boiling water     250 g
牛油          50 克                            Butter     50 g

做法 Methods :

1)把细砂糖,牛油块加入热水内,搅拌至溶解,备用。
      Boil the water, add in sugar and butter, stir until sugar dissolved, set aside.

2)所有粉类放入容器里,倒入一半做法(1)的牛油糖水,先用刮刀稍拌匀。
      Shifted the flour and baking powder into a big bowl, pour in half of No. ( 1 ), mix with spatula.

3)接着倒入另一半的牛油糖水,滴入喜欢的色素调色,换用搅拌器拌打均匀即可。
      Then pour in the other half of the No. ( 1 ), add in 1 drop of egg yellow color, use the egg beater to stir until well combine.

4)把铁杯排入蒸锅,烧滚蒸锅的水,放入纸托,把面糊倒入杯子至9分滿。大火蒸约20分钟即可。
      Boiled the steamer, place the paper cup into the mould. Steamed in high heat for 20 minutes.
