Fish again! Ya, have fish again.
This time cooking with "Threadfin" or in malay "Ikan Senangin".
My two kids eat much of this fish, they like this dish.
May be is quite a long time i not buying this kind of fish,
or because they like onion.
My kids like onion very much.
And it can be replace with red snapper or pmfret or any other fish you like.
Recipe also from the same book "Fish Galore"丰鱼足食
600 g .................... threadfin
1 tbsp .................... minced garlic
1 tbsp .................... shredded ginger
1 .................... tomato
2 .................... onion
Seasoning :
1 tbsp .................... light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp .................... sugar
1 tsp .................... salt
Methods :
1. Rinse the tomato and cut into pieces.
2. Deep fry the fish until fragrant, remove and drain.
3. In another pot saute ginger and garlic until fragrant, put in onion,
fry over high heat till fragrant.
4. Pour in some water until cover half portion of the ingredients, bring to boiled.
5. Put in the fish and tomato, braised in low heat until the tomato softens.
6. Stir in seasoning, Remove from heat. Serve.
( i add in some cornstarch to thicken the gravy and this will become more fragrant. )
