印度香料咖喱鸡 Kurma Chicken


Today i cook this very flavorful dish for me and hubby.
Kids didn't have this, they said this curry, and they done want spicy food.
Eating with steaming hot hot rice is very satisfying. 
There are so many kind of Indian curry.
And in our country Malaysia, normally already mix with malaysian style cooking and flavor.
This is quite a simple recipe i choose.


Ingredients :

3 tbsp     oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped shallots
1 onions, peeled and cut into wedges
1 star anise
3cm cinamon stick
5 dried chilli, cut into short sections
3 chicken whole legs, cut into pieces

Seasoning :
25 g packet kurma powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
350 ml water
100 ml thick coconut milk

Methods :

1. Heat up oil, saute garlic and shallots until aromatic.
2.     Add onion, str anise, cinnamon stick, dried chillies and stir-fry until aromatic.
3.     Add chicken, seasoning and bring to boil. 
4.     Lower the heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken tender.
5.     Dish up and serve.
